Transformation exhibition opens

South Wales Scribes exhibition, Transformation, was well received at the opening function last night. There are 150 exhibits including framed work and books. This will be the first opportunity in many years, to my recollection 25 to30 years, to see an exhibition of calligraphy in South Wales. The exhibition is at Swansea Museum and runs until the 23 April.

Forthcoming Exhibition

The South Wales Scribes will hold their first exhibition of calligraphy and lettering at Swansea Museum from the 20th February until the 23rd April 2016. There will also be the opportunity for the very first time in Wales to view the ‘ Letters After Lindisfarne ’ volumes which comprise over 200 original pages of unique lettering from individuals in regional groups on loan from the International Research Centre for Calligraphy at the University of Sunderland. The exhibition will be officially opened by Marion McKenzie the Chair of the Calligraphy Lettering Arts Society . The four volumes of the ‘ Letters After Lindisfarne ’ will be available to look through every Tuesday between 10am and 1pm and Saturdays from 11am until 4pm for the duration of the exhibition.
